This weekend was easily one of the best ones I’ve had in a while. It didn’t take that much to make me very, very happy. A childhood friend, a van, ocean time and a lot of talking about everything and nothing resulted in a very happy Sarah. Then add some crazy weather and beautiful views, what do you get? A weekend that’s hard to match!
I often get asked questions about living in Australia, so I thought I’d compile a handy list of the most frequently asked questions. I’m afraid I don’t have much insight on living anywhere other than Sydney!
Here’s to Cardiff starting to feel like home. CHEERS *clinks champagne flutes* Its been nearly a month since I moved here. I’ve finally started to properly explore the area. And I can get places without using google maps so that’s a triumph in itself!
Cue the weirdest week of my life. Daisy and I were supposed to be road tripping from Surrey to Biarritz on the French/Spanish border, which is exactly what we did. Although it didn’t quite go how we expected. Flexibility and a willingness to say “yes” were both invaluable qualities required on this trip!
It’s coming up to that time of year again, birthday time! Another lap round the sun, during which a full 365 days have passed. At this point I often stop to ask myself, what have I done this year? Was it a year wasted? I’m coming up 22 now, and as my mother kindly told me “22 is kind of the age where you start thinking you have to have your shit together”. My shit still isn’t together.
Canada is a land filled with big things. The mountains, the animals, the houses, the suburban sprawl, the roads, the cars and even the trees are bigger than anywhere else I’ve been. The weather is also more extreme, with lows of minus forty degrees Celsius during winter and thirty degrees plus during the summer. All this largeness and these extremes only make this amazing country even more beautiful.
Today three things happened in my life.
